The Helnan Palestine Hotel –
Alexandria is a block
building with a unique
location amidst the gardens
and golden sandy beaches of
one of Alexandria landmarks
the "Montaza Royal Palace"
that was the premises of the
late Egyptian Royalty. The
hotel has been built in
1974, on a small peninsular,
in one of the most affluent
parts of the city, in order
to host the first Arab
Summit Meeting.
It is overlooking the two
major palaces of Montaza,
with their distinct
architect, from one side and
the other side is
overlooking the
Mediterranean Sea. It has a
private beach and a private
bay surrounded by 350 acres
of gardens.
The hotel is run by the
Scandinavian Helnan Chain of
hotels, which has renovated
and refurbished it to become
the major hotel in
Alexandria, where
international conferences,
conventions and heads of
states visits are hosted,
thus recording many
historical events since its
construction of late ,the
