Basma Hotel was built
in 1993. It has a modern 6
floor building, painted in
sandstone colour with a
sweeping driveway leading to
reception. At the rear of
the hotel the rooms and all
communal areas are built in
the style of a courtyard
around the swimming pool.

Perched on Aswan's highest hill, the
hotel is situated overlooking the
city and the Nile with fantastic
views, especially at night. Opposite
the hotel drive is the brand new
Nubian Museum of Aswan which is
famous for its exhibition of Nubian
history of the Christian and Islamic
faith.
